Audi is extending the A1 family – the A1 Sportback is coming in early 2012. The five-door model is emotional and individual, communicative and youthful, sporty and efficient. The A1 Sportback hopes to build on the success of the three-door A1.
Buyers can choose between three TFSI gasoline and three TDI diesel engines producing between 63 kW (86 hp) and 136 kW (185 hp). Audi pairs some engines with the lightning-fast, seven-speed S tronic transmission.
Three years after it burst onto the supercar scene, Audi has unveiled a hard-core version of its R8 called the GT. Based on the existing mid-engine R8 V10 and incorporating aerodynamic, weight-saving and mechanical developments used by the company’s R8 LMS GT3 race car, Ingolstadt will build just 333 copies of the new 560-hp four-wheel-drive performance flagship. Autoblog has gotten their hands on official pics of the upcoming Audi TT RS which premiers in Geneva next month.
Available in both coupe and cabriolet body styles, the TT RS gets aggressive front and rear fascias, slightly larger front air vents, LED driving lamps, twin-spoked alloy wheels and a fixed rear spoiler. Both are powered by a 340-horsepower, 331 lb-ft, 2.5-liter turbo five cylinder. No signs yet from Audi whether the TT RS will be available in the U.S.
