After just finishing producing Chris Cornell’s album, Timbaland is moving on to produce Jay-Z’s next LP.

Usher’s new album Here I Stand won’t drop until next week, but you can listen to entire album at MTV’s The Leak.
I decided to start from the last track and go backwards, and what a delight it was to do so. If Will Work for Love is any sign of the rest of his album, Here I Stand is going to another platinum hit in Usher’s repertoire.

Kanye West has kept his new Pastelle fashion label rather low key, but we just got word that West has collaborated with Australian fashion label Ksubi to produce an eyewear range for the brand.
The limited-edition gold frames will be designed by George Gorrow and sell for about $2000. Even at this high price, Japanese fans have already placed orders for them without even seeing what they look like. Balla.

Matrix style graphics are adorned across Chris Brown’s latest single, “Forever.” I’m diggin’ it.

I caught the premier of MTV’s newest show Rock the Cradle tonight. It’s a new reality competition series that pits the children of eight established musicians against one another for a shot at stardom:
Olivia Newton-John’s daughter Chloe Rose Lattanzi
Kenny Loggins’ son Crosby Loggins
Eddie Money’s daughter Jesse Money
Joe Walsh’s daughter Lucy Walsh
Al B. Sure’s son Lil Al B Sure
Dee Snider’s son Jesse Blaze Snider
Tom Johnston’s daughter Lara Johnston
MC Hammer’s son Akeiba Burrell Hammer
Bobby Brown’s son Landon Brown

The two that actually seemed like they had some talent were Lara Johnston and Jesse Blaze Snider.

You can see all the performances here, if you missed it.
Tonight, JabbaWockeez was crowned champion and winner of American’s Best Dance Crew over Status Quo. Well deserved fellas, especially after that crazy week seven performance!
I still think the finals should’ve been between Kaba Modern and JabbaWockeez but what can we do eh? Randy Jackson must have felt it would’ve been a nicer finale, if the competition were between West and East coast teams.
Auditions for season two begin now on MTV.com.
There’s no doubt that I’m aiming for Kaba Modern to win America’s Best Dance Crew, but if they don’t, I hope Jabbawockeez takes it home — especially after this sick ass Michael Jackson Thriller performance.
Jabbawockeez’s routine wasn’t just an imitation of MJ’s classic moves, it was smothered with signature Jabbawoockeez goodness. Sweet job fellas!
Just when Donnie wasn’t getting any love in Making the Band 4 studios, Diddy throws him off the wall and out of this world producer Seven. Any guy who brings candles into the recording studio and fills it up with smoke before being able to work, is out of this world in my book.
Despite the supernatural settings, Seven flips a track called “The Rain” for Donnie to try out and damn… it’s good!

News flash! Diddy has finally named the Making the Band 4 group as Day 26. Not sure the meaning behind it yet, but I’ll get to the bottom of it.
*Update*
The name comes from the date the group was announced: August 26, 2007. Day 26’s first single is entitled “Got Me Going,” and can be heard on the bands new MySpace page.
