GBH has built a Ferrari Grand Prix car out of designer gear – with the help of 1,500 T-shirts and 88 pairs of jeans.

The full size replica of the Formula One car Kimi Raikkonen is driving this season has gone on show in at the Puma store in London’s Carnaby Street.

It took a team five hours to turn the T-shirts and jeans – together with 20 belts, 26 pairs of shoes and baseball caps – into a model of the 200mph racer.

Jason Gregory from GBH said: “It looks effortless when you see it but it took weeks of careful planning to turn a pile of clothes into a finely-tuned machine

“We are not sure if it would pass stringent F1 safety tests but it definitely looks sexy.”

The Pioneer CDJ-1000 CD Turntable was revolutionary when it launched because it was among the first devices to mimic vinyl turntables without the vinyl. Now, upgraded and equipped with a huge, 6.1-inch screen, the CDJ-2000 wants to up the ante.

The screen is able to display song info, album art, wave data and other advanced song info. In addition to the WQVGA screen (480×234), the CDJ-2000 brings a number of enhancements over its predecessor. For starters, it has a touch-sensitive area called the “Needle Pad,” which lets users jump to a specific song point with the flick of a finger. This year, Kanye West picked the beginning of the Video Music Awards to deliver one of his famous rants.

The rapper stormed the stage just after the first award, for Best Female Video, was presented to Taylor Swift. He cut the teen singer off, grabbing the mic and protesting in support of Beyoncé.

“I’m sorry, but Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time,” he proclaimed as B looked on from the crowd, stunned.

During the 2007 VMAs in Las Vegas, West delivered another rant and lost his temper after he was displeased with his performance being set inside a hotel suite rather than on the show’s main stage.

‘Ye’s rants are usually in support of his own work. He memorably took the stage at the American Music Awards in 2004, declaring he was robbed of the Best New Artist nod.

His protest against Swift, however, was not well received. West stood briefly on the stage after his comments as the crowd was silent. Audience members then began to clap in support of Swift after West left the stage.

If you keep your foot planted, the roadster will top out somewhere in the neighborhood of 340 km/h (211 mph).
