Given MemUp’s recent past, we wouldn’t be too shocked to find that the outfit’s latest bundle of media players were all rips of other units, but we’ll assume innocence until proven guilty. Up first is the K-SLIM, a simplistic DAP with a 1.8-inch display, FM tuner and 2GB / 4GB of internal capacity. Moving on, we’ve got the all-too-similar K-TOUCH, which gently ups the ante with a 2-inch touchscreen and 4/8/16GB of space. The V-TOUCH gets oriented horizontally and boasts a 2.4-inch panel, while the M430 TR PMP arrives with 4.3-inches of screen real estate. Lastly, we’ve got the M430 DTV, which obviously trumps the latter with its integrated TV tuner. Hit the read link for more details on the whole lot, and don’t be surprised if you notice any similarities in design.

Almost three years after The Bridge was unveiled, the unit’s successor has finally emerged. Harman Kardon chose today to announce the simplistically named The Bridge II, which effectively connects compatible iPods and the iPhone to any H/K The Bridge-ready component. Once connected, you’ll find obligatory audio / video playback through your home entertainment system as well as on-screen iPod menus, remote control operation and charging. Folks looking for the standalone unit can acquire one this summer for $129, though it will be bundled right in with the AVR 354 receiver.

Well, that didn’t take long. Just as the mini-brouhaha over N-Gage games being tied to handsets was starting to percolate, Nokia has now come out and said that users will be able to take their games with them to a new handset after all, eventually. According to Nokia communications manager Oskar Södergren, some “miscommunication” on Nokia’s part is apparently to blame for users being left up in the air on the matter, something that apparently led to some “mixed messages” being passed around inside Nokia as well. He went on to add that Nokia has in fact “been working on a way for this to work since the relaunch, but it is taking some time for everything to fall into place.”

ASUS isn’t being shy about its plan for global Eee domination, and it sounds like the company is exploring expanding beyond the laptop and desktop form factors we’ve already seen. Speaking to Current.com.au, ASUS Australia retail manager Emmanuele Silanesu said that ASUS’s Eee group is “obviously looking at other form factors rather than just a clamshell,” but wouldn’t confirm anything — and just to make things even hazier, Silanesu said that a forthcoming touchscreen machine from ASUS might not carry the Eee branding. That’s just about as vague as it gets, but we’re in agreement with UMPC Portal that ASUS has plenty of low-power, low-cost UMPCs on the shelf (like the R2E pictured above) that could easily be made over to fit with the Eee line. We’ll see when we see — Silanesu hinted that something was due to appear at Computex in June.

Usher’s new album Here I Stand won’t drop until next week, but you can listen to entire album at MTV’s The Leak.
I decided to start from the last track and go backwards, and what a delight it was to do so. If Will Work for Love is any sign of the rest of his album, Here I Stand is going to another platinum hit in Usher’s repertoire.

It’s been a solid tick since the North American N95, also referred to as the N95-3, received a software update. For those clamoring for a little love from Nokia’s dev team, listen up: an administrator over at the outfit’s forums has admitted that the Software Update crew has a new version in the works. We’re told that they’ve heard the demands for a fresh release, and they’re toiling away in order to bring it to N95-3 owners by early June. Unfortunately, we’re not told what new features we can expect, and even worse, “early June” seems like eons away, doesn’t it?
